City Clerk's Office

The City Clerk is responsible for maintaining the City’s official documents, preparing City Council meeting agenda packets, keeping official minutes of City Council meetings, codifying and publishing City ordinances, and responding to public record requests.

Public Records Request

Language Translation Requests

The City is committed to providing information and access to public records and documents to all citizens.  Requests may be made for documents in an alternate language by notifying the City Clerk. Please allow 10 business days from our receipt of the request for translation to be completed.

Civil Rights & Title VI

The City's non-discrimination policy assures that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex, as provided by Title VI of the federal Civil Rights Act, be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination.

Claims for Damages

The City Clerk serves as the Claims Agent for the City of Battle Ground.  

The law grants cities the right to have notice of a hazard and a reasonable opportunity to correct it before a finding of negligence can be found.  Claims must be filed within the appropriate statutes of limitations that is governed by Washington State law.
