The Executive Department is overseen by the City Manager and is responsible for assuring that the goals of the City Council are achieved each year in all of the City's operations, as well as developing the annual budget, administration of a human resources program and overseeing community relations and outreach.
Dennis Osborn was appointed City Manager in February of 2007 by the City Council. He had served as Interim City Manager since October 2006, and before that served four years as Battle Ground's Deputy City Manager. Mr. Osborn comes to Battle Ground from the City of Chelan where he served as Community Development Director for just over 5 years. He has a BA in Urban and Regional Planning from Western Washington University and has completed course work towards a Masters Degree in Public Policy. Overall, he has over 16 years of municipal experience.
