Project overview:
The Battle Ground Sports Complex will be located in the southwest portion of the community on 20th Avenue. Construction is expected to begin sometime in 2007, depending on permitting and environmental issues and will likely include:
- Approximately six ball fields, ranging from pee-wee to tournament size, including all support amenities and potentially informal soccer field overlays
- Restrooms
- Concession stand and maintenance building
- Playground structure
- Parking
- Frontage road improvements
- other site amenities, such as park furniture
The remaining 60 acres will be developed into a wetland mitigation bank/natural preserve with a system of walking trails and interpretive stations.
