[ARCHIVED] Military Appreciation Night

For the second consecutive year, the Battle Ground City Council will host Military Appreciation Night to recognize the young men and women from our community who have committed to serve their country as members of the U.S. Armed Forces. The recognitions will take place at the Monday, May 19th council meeting beginning at 7 pm at City Hall located at 109 SW 1st Street in Battle Ground.

“These young adults are taking a big step in their lives,” notes Mayor Shane Bowman, “it is important that their community is behind them in this endeavor.”

The council’s recognition of these young men and women comes during Military Appreciation Month designated by Congress to ensure that the nation was given the opportunity to publically demonstrate their appreciation for the sacrifices and successes made by our service members.
