Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce Harvest Days Cruise In committee presented Police Chief Bob Richardson with a $1,500 check at the August 4, 2014 City Council meeting.
The donation will allow for the installation of pediatric pads in the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machines placed in patrol cars. AED machines are equipped with adult pads and are an effective treatment for restoring a regular heart rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest. A grant was recently received by Clark County Fire & Rescue that completed the outfitting of all Battle Ground patrol cars with AED machines.
Police Chief Bob Richardson stated “on behalf of the City of Battle Ground, I would like to thank the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce Harvest Day Cruise In committee for their generous donation that will allow us to provide for the safety of our community and children”.
