The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the City of Battle Ground by the Government Finance Officers Association. The award recognizes the City for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for 2013 and is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. This is the 14th consecutive year the City has received the award.
Mayor Shane Bowman recognized Finance Director Maggie Smith and Accounting Manager Brian Wolf for their work in preparing the document.
“Our Finance Department staff is diligent in clearly communicating the City’s financial story,” said City Manager John Williams, “The award reflects their exceptional skill and effort.”
