[ARCHIVED] Preserving the Public's Investment in Streets

Effective July 1, 2015, the Department of Licensing will collect a $20 TBD (Transportation Benefit District) fee from residents who live within Battle Ground city limits at the time they renew or purchase vehicle tabs. The revenue created will fund critically needed street projects in the City of Battle Ground.

The Battle Ground TBD was established in 2014 as a means to fund the maintenance, preservation and construction of streets in the City of Battle Ground. Traditional sources of revenue that funded street maintenance have steadily declined and are no longer adequate to preserve and maintain the city’s transportation infrastructure. This new, dedicated source of revenue will be used solely for street projects in the City of Battle Ground.

Ongoing street improvement projects will begin this summer. Follow the City of Battle Ground’s Facebook page at CityofBGWA for street project updates. For detailed information about street preservation and the Transportation Benefit District select the Street Preservation link below.
