Battle Ground’s 27th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Celebration in the Spirit of Giving will be held on Friday, December 2nd, from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at the Battle Ground Community Center located at 912 E. Main Street in the historic Old Town district of Battle Ground.
This traditional community celebration begins outdoors with caroling led by the Battle Ground High School Jazz Choir. Santa and Mrs. Claus are scheduled to arrive about 5:45 pm via Fire District 3 Engine to greet all the children and light the tree.
From 6:00 – 7:30 pm the festivities move to the warmth of the community center, where children can have their pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The $5 per-picture proceeds benefit the city’s Summer Playground Program. The North County Community Food Bank will provide warm and wonderful refreshments. Bring non-perishable food items or cash donations in the spirit of giving to benefit the food bank.
The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Celebration in the Spirit of Giving is a collaboration of the City of Battle Ground, Fire District 3, the North County Community Food Bank, the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce and the greater Battle Ground community.
