With expected freezing rain, city hall offices will close at noon today and the city council meeting scheduled for tonight has been canceled. Essential personnel remain on duty.

After a period of expected freezing rain, we will experience rain and lots of it. With the amount of snow/ice still on streets we must now try to minimize the risk of localized flooding.
 
Snow or ice blocking storm drains can keep water from flowing into the drainage system and can quickly create areas of standing water. If you can easily and safely keep the storm drains clear in your neighborhoods or adjacent to your businesses, please do so. Crews will be doing the same in the most affected areas, but with over 1,800 catch basins and inlets, it will literally take a village.

If you see any signs of standing water or flooding in the city of Battle Ground, please call Public Works at 360-342-5350 during regular business hours (7:30am – 4pm), after hours at 360-635-7076, or by using our online Citizen Action Request at the link below.

Self-service sand and bags are available at the Public Works Operations Center located at 1308 SE Grace Ave. BYOS (bring your own shovel).
