[ARCHIVED] 462 pounds of pills collected at April 29 Drug Take-Back event

Over 200 people dropped off their unused and unwanted medications with the Battle Ground Police Department at the April 29th Drug Take-Back event.  Volunteers and law enforcement personnel collected 462 pounds of pills in Battle Ground alone, while the total amount collected at four take-back sites in Clark and Skamania counties, was an astounding 2,454 pounds!  That is great news – appropriate disposal of these medications keeps our homes and community safe by reducing accidents, thefts, and abuse.

The Battle Ground event was a collaborative effort of Prevent Together: Battle Ground Prevention Alliance, La Center United, and the Battle Ground Police Department.

The Battle Ground Police Department is committed to keeping our community safe and accepts pill and liquid-form prescription medications for proper disposal year-round during regular office hours.  Learn more by selecting the link below.
