[ARCHIVED] City of Battle Ground Seeking Applications for Parks & Community Engagement Advisory Board

The City of Battle Ground is seeking applications for three vacant positions on its volunteer Parks & Community Engagement Advisory (PACE) Board.

The PACE Board is a 7-member volunteer board that supports City parks and recreation programs by fostering public interest in events and activities such as the recent Pooch Parade and the Annual Fright Night Event.   The Board serves in an advisory capacity, making recommendations to the City Council regarding the development and operation of public parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities.

Board members serve three-year terms, and typically meet with staff once a month (as needed) and participate in Parks & Recreation activities throughout the year.  Among the vacancies is a youth position, reserved for a person ages 14 to 18 that resides in the urban growth boundary or attending a school within the Battle Ground School District.  Applicants for the other vacant positions must reside, own property, and/or own a business within the City of Battle Ground or urban growth area.

Applications are available online at www.cityofbg.org/PACE-Application, and will remain open until filled.
