The City of Battle Ground will open the Battle Ground Community Center as a cooling center from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm on Monday, July 1st through Wednesday, July 3rd.
The National Weather Service has issued a statement regarding their expectation for high temperatures and humidity in the region, with the possibility of temperatures reaching the century mark on Monday and Tuesday.
Those needing a respite from the heat are invited to spend time in the City’s air-conditioned Community Center located at 912 East Main Street in Battle Ground. Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic meals, books, magazines, board games and activities for children. Wi-Fi will be available for those wanting to use mobile devices.
