Welcome! We are happy to help you with your dog’s licensing.
The Battle Ground Municipal Code (6.10.060) requires that any dog over six months old living within the city be licensed. The code prohibits more than 3 adult dogs per household.
Dog licenses are issued on a calendar year basis from January 1 - December 31. License renewals are due by January 31 of each year. New dogs may be registered any time of the year.
Pets that are found wandering on their own may be impounded by the City in order to protect the animal and the public. An impounded pet will be housed at the Humane Society to ensure its safety and care while city staff works to identify and contact its owner.
To retrieve an impounded pet, the owner must pay an impound fee and any other applicable fees to the Humane Society.
