As a long standing piece of the city's transportation plan, this project will provide a new neighborhood collector street from N. Parkway Avenue to SR-503. The new roadway will help reduce congestion along SR-503 and Main Street and better serve traffic traveling to and from the northeast portion of the city.
Before the intersection design is determined, the project will first undergo alternative analysis. This analysis involves the forecasting of the future demand for the base model and the testing of various project alternatives to determine the optimally performing solution. Factors such as (but not limited to) traffic safety, transportation standards, and geographical characteristics will be considered when determining the final design.
